China can be divided into many geographical areas. Each area has their own distinct style of cooking. The ingredients used in the food are depended on the natural agricultural products in the area.
In Northern China, for example, wheat is more popular than rice. Food made by wheat as its main ingredient such as noodles, steamed buns and dumplings are prevalent there. Rice is the mian used in China's Southern cuisine. Such as rice noodles and zongzi — sticky rice wrapped in leaves. Southern food is usually more spicy. Many areas eat chilies every day.
